Paediatric Surgical Specialties

Paediatric Inpatient Services

  • This 6-bed unit provides care to children who are hospitalized with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, such as asthma, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, appendicitis, trauma, and infectious diseases. The full range of needed medical and surgical care, including nursing support, nutritional services, respiratory therapy, radiology is provided.
  • Newborn Nursery
    Routine newborn care is provided to mothers and infants. Special emphasis is placed on mother-infant bonding, breastfeeding support, and counselling regarding newborn care.
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
    Children who are seriously ill and require specialized monitoring, cardiac, and/or respiratory support receive highly specialized care under the supervision of board-certified paediatric intensivists, with the consultation of other paediatric specialty services as needed.
  • Radiology the full range of imaging services including x-rays, CT scanning,.

NEST (Neonatal stabilisation and transport)

Neonates needing special or intensive care should preferably be transported by a skilled transport team through an organized teamwork. Appropriate equipments and vehicle customized for neonates should be available for safe transport. Pre-transport stabilization is the most vital step in the whole process of transport. We have developed an efficient transport systems for the sick or preterm babies to our center with expertise and facilities for the provision of multi-organ intensive care during the process of transport for those babies who are born in smaller center with less facilities to improve outcomes. This service is active for 24hrs.
