DR SUMITA SAHA

Dr. Sumita Saha is a renowned Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician with more than 10 years of working experience in tertiary Neonatal units in Nottingham and Leeds, UK. She has managed babies born as premature as 23 weeks of gestation i.e. born at 6 months of pregnancy and weighing as little as 500 gms.

AREA OF EXPERTISE

Dr Saha managed extremely premature neonates from 23 weeks onwards weighing even less than 500 gms. She has extensive experience of using dierent respiratory support methods like Surfactant, nasal CPAP, dierent modes of invasive mechanical ventilation, high frequency oscillatory ventilation and Nitric Oxide. Dr Saha performs Cranial ultrasound scan and Echocardiography in babies. She independently undertook many di-cult retrievals like transport of
extremely premature babies and complicated cardiac and surgical
babies.
Dr Saha does all advanced neonatal procedures like complicated
neonatal resuscitation, intubation, peripheral long line insertion,
peripheral arterial line insertion, umbilical venous and arterial line
insertion, putting chest drains. etc.
