Dr. Aloke Gopal Ghoshal has more than thirty years of clinical and teaching experience as a Professor and Head of Respiratory Medicine. He nurtured the stream from its infancy to its present super-specialty status in Bengal and in India. A revered teacher, academician and researcher, he has illustrious students across the globe. But for the most, he is known as a master clinician.
He specialises in Obstructive Airway Diseases (Asthma / COPD), Diffuse Parenchymal Lung Disease (Interstitial Lung Disease - ILD), Tuberculosis, including Drug Resistant TB and Sleep. He has devised a bed-side Lung Function Instrument-RESPRESS. He has published several papers in National & International Journals and Text Books.
